BILLIE Piper (pictured) is ready to ditch her girl-nextdoor image to play Internet prostitute Belle de Jour.
The former teen pop star is best known as Rose Tyler from the Doctor Who TV series. But now she is being lined up to bring Belle’s lurid stories to life for Channel 4.
The prostitute, whose real identity is known only to a handful of people, has made a fortune describing her sexual adventures on the Internet, attracting thousands of hits every day.
Miss Piper, 24, former wife of DJ Chris Evans, hopes the role will advance her reputation from young newcomer to established actress.
