MRV Communications Fiber-Optic WDM Systems and Out-of-Band Networking Solutions U.S. Department of Defense Approved

MRV Communications, Inc. JITC is an organizational element of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and certifies interoperability for all networking products to be used by agencies of the Department of Defense (DOD).

JITC testing provides a thorough representation of a product's ability to provide protocol compliance, stability, scalability, management and security to DOD networks. MRV has received an Interoperability Assessment and a Standards Conformance certification from the JITC for the Lambda Driver® scalable wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) system; Fiber Driver® systems for services demarcation, WDM and media conversion; and its LX4000T, the latest in its series of console servers which delivers comprehensive out-of-band networking, supporting serial services, power management and sensor management features. JITC interoperability assessments of network components are conducted under the most realistic conditions possible set forth by the Department of Defense. The Lambda Driver optical transport solutions consist of multi-functional, compact and modular wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) systems that can create up to 80 independent virtual fiber-optic links over a single pair of fibers over distances of up to 900 km. The Lambda Driver family supports both DWDM and CWDM technology, and can handle data streams with rates from 1.55 Mbps up to 10 Gbps. The Lambda Driver systems are specifically designed for organizations that require flexible, compact and cost-effective multiplexing and transport of high-speed network, storage, voice and video data.

MRV's Fiber Driver optical multi-service product line provides a full range of solutions like services demarcation, media conversion, signal repeating and fiber-optimization, including coarse and dense WDM capabilities. Both managed and unmanaged solutions are available, including rack-mount, modular systems and desktop systems. The LX Series of console servers provides redundancy and security features necessary for out-of-band networking needs. The LX 4000T Series console servers are available in eight-, 16-, 32- and 48-port models.
