Class Teaches Tips for Internet Safety

BOUNTIFUL — Parents and students are invited to attend a session on Internet crimes against children and help for families dealing with pornography from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at Bountiful High School, 695 S. Orchard Drive.

Former Weber County sheriff’s Lt. Rod Layton will discuss characteristics and ploys of Internet predators.

Layton retired from the sheriff’s office to form the Northern Utah Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. He currently works as director of the Weber/Morgan Children’s Justice Center for the Weber County Attorney’s Office, where he contines to direct the efforts of the Internet task force.
