Siemens Communications Cost Management (CCM) Services Offers New Control and Insight into Enterprises' Telecommunications Operations and Spending
Posted on: Tuesday, 20 February 2007, 09:00 CST
Siemens Communications, Inc. [NYSE: SI] today introduced Siemens Communications Cost Management (CCM), a new multi-year managed services package that enables enterprises to more efficiently manage one of their largest operating expenses -- telecommunications.
Siemens CCM streamlines and simplifies management of complex carrier multi-vendor telecommunications environments through a powerful combination of services that includes telecom expense management, physical circuit auditing, and voice and data circuit benchmarking. The new service can help enterprises realize immediate savings, reduce ongoing operational expenses and lower future monthly bills. Enterprises gain control of their telecom outlay by capturing a circuit inventory based on physical and electronic audits that identify unused services, circuits and equipment. Regular electronic inspections of incoming invoices collect and analyze data for ongoing communications optimization. Customers can review their billing history and determine which circuits they can disconnect, helping them recover costs from telecom carriers for extended periods of invoice errors and find candidates for substitution at lower expense.
Siemens CCM enables customers to obtain, analyze and act upon their own telecommunications information and frees them from depending on carriers and suppliers to get that data. It can build customers' negotiating power to minimize new contract prices by helping customers to gain a greater understanding of their voice and data communications spending.
Siemens HiPath Managed Services offers a single point of contact and accountability for all service needs within an enterprise's multi-vendor communications infrastructure. A comprehensive portfolio of out-tasking and consultative services ranges from remote day-to-day monitoring and management to helping customers transform to open communications. Siemens uses a flexible approach with both standard and custom offerings by working closely with new customers to understand their business needs and develop services to meet them.
Even potential Siemens customers appreciate that this new service can enable them to focus on strategic growth. "The unique combination of Siemens CCM services truly maximizes the savings that large communications spenders such as the New York City Department of Education can achieve," said Ross Lanham, a Consultant with the department.
"Like all Siemens solutions, Siemens HiPath Managed Services CCM focuses on customers' business needs to help them to work their money and assets harder to best serve their objectives," said Todd Habersang, Vice President of Market Management Services at Siemens. "This is our key role," he said, "to understand our customers' business and become their trusted partner and advisor. With open services as an enabler, we help our customers achieve their full potential, especially enterprises seeking optimal and insightful control of their telecommunications operations."
