PITTSBURGH, Feb. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- TrueBaseline announces it is entering into a technology partnership with Avici Systems' Soapstone Networks to develop, market, and deploy service management solutions based on their combined product set. These solutions will conform to international standards defined by the TeleManagement Forum, IPsphere Forum, and ITU.
TrueBasline specializes in providing an Industry specific, services oriented, object-driven, management system. It is designed to integrate all services, resources and processes into a single automation system. The partnership encompasses TrueBaseline TrueSMS(TM) Services Framework, which will serve as a business policy framework for the Soapstone Network Solutions' unique universal control plane. This unique control plane can provide the IPsphere Forum function of an SMS child application, the TMF view of a "Resource-Facing Service," and the ITU NGN RACF. The two companies have agreed to partner on the interoperability testing and the offering of these products to Communication Service Providers, worldwide.
"Soapstone Networks Provider Network Controller (PNC) (TM) and SMS child initiatives represent the partnerships we are seeking to continue validating our Telecom business object-oriented model framework," said Stan Kramer, Chairman and CEO of TrueBaseline. "We are excited to move to the next step of validating TrueSMS(TM) with interoperability testing, and ultimately service provider deployments." TrueBaseline's expectation is to continue announcing a series of strategic partnerships with both equipment vendors and service providers over the course of the next few months.
"Soapstone Networks PNC offers a versatile set of transport building blocks for service construction," said Larry Dennison, CTO of Avici Systems. "We are excited to be working with TrueBaseline to connect our transport building blocks to TrueBaseline's business plane to facilitate the vision of any service, anywhere, independent of network technology."
TrueBaseline TrueSMS(TM) framework is available to service providers, equipment vendors, BSS/OSS providers, and network application and service delivery platform vendors. The framework will support TrueBaseline's own Resource Broker as well as resource control products from partners such as Avici's Soapstone Networks.
TrueBaseline is a Pittsburgh, PA based, private corporation that has been in product development since 2005. In December 2006, at the IPSphere Forum, TrueBaseline demonstrated the TrueSMS Service Framework.
