EchoStar's DISH Network(TM) and DishNOW! Services Join Green Dot Financial Network to Give Cash Customers Convenient New Payment Option

LAS VEGAS and LOS ANGELES, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Prepaid Expo -- Green Dot(R) Corporation (booth #501), operator of the Green Dot Financial Network (GDFN), today announced at the Prepaid Expo, that EchoStar Communications Corporation and its DISH Network(TM) satellite TV service have teamed up with the Green Dot Financial Network to accept consumer payments for DISH Network services.
The move will expand payment options for DISH Network and DISH Network's DishNOW! cash customers by allowing them to pay for satellite TV service using a Green Dot MoneyPak(TM). The easy-to-use Green Dot MoneyPak is available at tens of thousands of convenient Green Dot(R) Financial Network locations nationwide, including America's top retailers such as Rite Aid, Walgreens, RadioShack and CVS/pharmacy.
A Green Dot MoneyPak is a way to convert physical cash to electronic cash. The electronic cash can then be used to reload a prepaid card, make a payment, pay a bill or add cash to any account that accepts Green Dot MoneyPak.
How it works:
DISH Network customers purchase a Green Dot MoneyPak and load a dollar amount onto it. Customers then simply call DISH Network and select "pay with Green Dot MoneyPak" to pay their bill or load a DishNOW! pre-paid satellite system card.
Programming available through DISH Network's pre-paid card program includes America's Top 100, America's Top 200, America's Top 250, America's Everything Pack and all DishLATINO packages as well as international programming and premium channels.
