The Doors Part of Hollywood’s Walk of Fame
February 27, 2007
The Doors, stars of the U.S. rock scene for 40 years, will get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The ceremony Wednesday is set to take place in front of the Virgin music store at Hollywood and Highland in Hollywood, according to the Doors’ Web site. Scheduled to speak will be Los Angeles DJ Jim Ladd and Elektra Records founder Jac Holzman.
Earlier in February, the band received a Lifetime Achievement Award during the 49th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. In May, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame will open the Break on Through — The Lasting Legacy of the Doors exhibit.
