Media Alert: New York City Department of Education and IBM to Develop Achievement Reporting System for Educators and Parents

New York City Schools Chancellor Joel I. Klein will today announce the selection of IBM to develop the Achievement Reporting and Innovation System (ARIS), a first-of-its-kind system that will provide information about student performance and progress to educators and parents. ARIS will help teachers identify effective practices citywide and improve and individualize instruction for students.
A teleconference for journalists is scheduled for Monday. An official press release will be made available during the teleconference.
