Commodore International Corporation: Hands-On Experience for the Gravel(TM) Product Range

Commodore International Corporation is proud to officially launch the multi media entertainment platform CommodoreWorld™ along with a series of Wi-Fi enabled Gravel™ devices at CeBIT 2007. CommodoreWorld™ is a wireless content delivery platform which allows on-demand access directly from mobile devices such as the Gravel™ In Pocket media player as well as home devices such as the Gravel™ In Home media center.

All products will be showcased at CeBIT – the international IT trade fair – from March 15 to March 21 in Hannover, Germany. The Commodore International stand can be found in Hall 19, stand B34. Commodore Gaming – a Joint Venture in which Commodore International Corporation owns 49% of the shares – will be showcasing its recently announced High Speed Gaming PC at CeBIT as well. The Commodore Gaming stand is located in Hall 21, stand D08.

CommodoreWorld™ – An online media environment that provides access to a large variety of entertainment content (music, videos, radio and TV programs and more). The CommodoreWorld™ catalogue can be accessed on demand via the new range of Wi-Fi enabled Commodore Gravel™ devices, both at home or on the road.

Commodore Gravel™ In Pocket – A handy, user-friendly multi media device you can slip into your pocket or purse. Wherever you are – on your way to work, on vacation, on a business trip, in the car – the Commodore Gravel™ In Pocket music and movie player gives you direct Wi-Fi access to your choice of media entertainment. The player supports all major file formats such as MP4, MPEG, DivX, Xvid, WMV, streaming WMV, JPEG, BMP, GIF and of course MP3, WMA, WAVE. Gravel™ In Pocket comes with either 1GB or 2GB internal flash memory and is equipped with an additional SD Flashcard slot. The worlds’ first high quality flash video devices play full screen, full motion (24 fps) on a 2.8″ TFT screen.

Commodore Gravel™ In Home – A unique home entertainment centre which provides access to your personal media on TV (without being connected to the PC) as well as access to the CommodoreWorld™ catalogue which includes Video On Demand, Replay TV and streaming music services. The Gravel™ In Home media center comes with an 80GB or 160GB internal HDD, enabling consumers to store their favorite personal photos and home videos, and watch them directly on their TV set. All services are accessed and personalized using the super user friendly single jog remote control.

Availability

Commodore is excited to launch their new premium-range hardware products at this year’s CeBIT in Hannover. The Commodore Gravel™ products are already available from retail outlets in The Netherlands. The roll-out for The UK and Germany is planned for Q2 and Q3 this year.
