MessageGate Earns Certified Partner Status in Microsoft Partner Program

Posted on: Monday, 19 March 2007, 09:00 CDT

MessageGate, Inc., a leader in practical e-mail governance, has earned certified status in Microsoft's Partner Program. As a Microsoft Certified Partner, MessageGate has demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies and proven its ability to meet customer needs.

Companies continue to struggle with large volumes of e-mail streaming into their archives and potential security risks posed by employee-generated e-mail. MessageGate products help companies meet needed minimum threshold requirements to mitigate risk and improve archival efficiency.

"MessageGate's certified partner status strengthens our ability to deliver effective e-mail governance solutions for customers using Microsoft products," said Robert Pease, vice president of marketing for MessageGate. "The combination of MessageGate's e-mail governance suite with Microsoft's messaging products creates a proven, practical and dependable approach to enterprise e-mail governance."

MessageGate's e-mail governance suite provides policy-based controls for Microsoft Exchange environments, including the enforcement of e-mail usage rules and classification of e-mail records for retention. MessageGate Archive Categorization segments e-mail streams into higher-value and lower-value correspondence, including separating non-business from business e-mail. Non-business e-mail can account for as much as 50 percent of a company's total e-mail volume.

In addition, MessageGate's SenderConfirm provides a non-invasive system for mitigating risk arising from employee-generated e-mail. It implements user-based self-review of outbound e-mails that fail to meet corporate policies. SenderConfirm addresses unintentional and non-malicious e-mail breaches without compromising employee privacy concerns.

"Only companies that demonstrate high levels of customer service, prove their experience and attain advanced certification receive the designation of Microsoft Certified Partner," said Allison Watson, corporate vice president of the Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft. "Microsoft recognizes MessageGate for its skills and expertise in providing customer satisfaction with Microsoft products and technologies."

The Microsoft Partner Program was launched in October 2003 and represents the company's ongoing commitment to the success of partners worldwide. The Microsoft Partner Program offers a single, integrated partnering framework that recognizes partner expertise, rewards the total impact that partners have in the technology marketplace and delivers more value to help partners' businesses be successful.
