Time Warner Telecom Integrates Economical Voice and Data Services for School of Excellence in Education

SAN ANTONIO, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Time Warner Telecom , a leading provider of managed voice and data networking solutions for businesses in San Antonio and 43 other metropolitan areas, today announced the successful installation of integrated voice and data communications services to School of Excellence in Education (SEE), a San Antonio charter school.

SEE awarded Time Warner Telecom a 3-year contract for voice and data services, including Ethernet Internet access to support the school's 1,700 students and faculty. Network reliability, scalability and improved total cost of ownership (TCO) were key factors in selecting Time Warner Telecom service.

"As a charter school, we're a school of choice so we intentionally provide exceptional reasons for students to attend one of our three campus locations," said Bob Woodall, assistant superintendent for business operations. Network availability also played a role in SEE's final decision. "Our network integrity has improved significantly," added Woodall. "We don't hear about downtimes any more, and this was an issue previously. Because everyone in administration and instruction is so computer dependent these days, losing network access essentially shuts us down."
