URS Selected to Provide Technical Support for Submarine Systems
URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that its EG&G Division has been awarded an indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity contract to provide technical support services to the Information Assurance & Engineering Division of the U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR). Under terms of the contract, as specific task orders are issued, URS will provide engineering support services for all classes of Navy submarines, including technical support for submarine control, communications, intelligence, weapons, and sonar systems. The contact has a one-year base period, followed by four one-year options periods. The maximum value of the contract to URS is $51 million if all option periods are exercised.
