COVENTRY Cathedral’s Millennium Computer is up and running again after a two-month technical hitch.

The electronic “book”, which records the remembrances and celebrations of Coventry people, failed after seven years, and pounds 1,200 was needed for a replacement.

Cathedral development director Michael Mogan’s desperate appeal for cash help raised the extra funds in an amazing two weeks. He said: “It’s thanks to the Telegraph we managed to get people together so quickly.”

The new software will be unveiled on Saturday at 1pm. For more about putting an entry on the computer, call Mr Mogan on 024 7652 1206.
