Posted on: Tuesday, 21 September 2004, 06:00 CDT
O'Connor will Discuss New Success Strategies that are Transforming the Business of High Tech
Robert O'Connor, CEO of Softrax Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise revenue management solutions, will deliver a keynote address titled "High Tech Transformation: It's Not Just About Technology Anymore" at the Software Business 2004 Conference. The two-day conference, sponsored by Software Business Magazine will be held at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco, September 22-23. The conference agenda will focus on current business, financial and technology issues facing today's IT executives.
"Successful strategies for growth in what might best be described as a 'reluctant recovery' are very different from those that worked two or three years ago," said O'Connor. "The way high tech solutions are bought and sold is undergoing a fundamental transformation. Additionally, pressure on costs has never been higher and new standards for financial controls such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act make the challenge more daunting for both public and private companies. It is now imperative for successful high tech executives to focus on operational efficiencies and the way they do business."
O'Connor will discuss how companies can bring new business models to market faster. He will focus on critical enterprise processes that high tech companies must improve, and the need for operational alignment across sales, marketing, operations, and finance departments. He will also talk about key issues for managing compliance requirements and the potential impact of revenue management on capital events such as mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings.
The Software Business 2004 Conference, sponsored by Software Business Magazine, focuses on current strategic business, financial and technology issues and growth opportunities facing executives and managers of software companies. The conference serves owners, chief executives, presidents, vice presidents and division directors or department managers of leading and fast-growing software companies located throughout North America who are conducting business domestically and worldwide.
