Israeli officials are using the social networking website MySpace to help improve relations with people from other countries.

David Saranga, a diplomat based at the Israeli consulate in New York, came up with the idea, which is geared towards the 18-35 age demographic. “The reason is that this group doesn’t see Israel as relevant. We have to talk to them in their language, in platforms they are using, and the new media is one of the ways to do so,” he told The Guardian.

The Israel MySpace page features photos of Israeli cities, music, a blog called “isRealli”, and an internet TV station.
