DRC Entertainment Reports, The Video for Randell & Schippers' Dance Hit 'Alice In Wonderland' Generates Buzz on YouTube and Is Added to Yahoo! Music, AOL and Clear Channel Video Sites

LOS ANGELES, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Having premiered on YouTube to thousands of viewings almost immediately, Alice In Wonderland - The Video by Randell & Schippers is proving to have the same infectious appeal as the song's audio version, a recent dance chart hit and recurrent club favorite. One of the five-star reviews posted on the site salutes the new clip with, "ConGrats to Randell and Schippers. Awesome ... In a world of overproduced videos, with overrated artists, this is not only creative, but also refreshing. Rock On!" Completely conceived and produced by Denny Randell and Biddy Schippers, the video has also been welcomed with a warm reception at Yahoo! Music Videos, AOL Music Videos and Clear Channel's Online Music & Radio Video Vault, where it's just been added to programming. Yahoo! Music has also added the audio version to its LAUNCHcast Radio music programming as well.

Released in 2006 as a single and title track on the album Randell & Schippers "Alice In Wonderland" (on the duo's own Music Ave Records label (DRC Entertainment), the song tells the tale of Alice, a sweet, cloistered young woman ejected from "Wonderland" when her daddy's credit goes south and she's forced down to earth to earn her own way for the first time in her life. Initially, she's accosted by the unsavory Jive Turkey, then rescued by the Do Good Stranger, with whom she rides off on a unicorn, and then the 50-cent "Love Bus," to her newfound earthly wonderland. e.discogs.com called "Alice In Wonderland,""A hilarious romp ... a song that makes you want to dance and laugh at the same time -- for what more could you ask?" Well, thought Randell and Schippers, a video for one thing -- they always felt the song's trippy fairy tale narrative ideally cried out for a visual companion piece.

Denny and Biddy -- whose creative collaboration has generated prior dance hits including "Let's Go For It" and "Love Jam," which U.K.-based Blues and Soul Magazine called, "quite simply, a modern masterpiece" -- had very clear ideas of exactly how they wanted Alice, and the song's other colorful characters, to look. After playing around with some initial rough sketches, they explored creating the video with a professional animator. They then felt that to realize a video iteration that truly lived up to their vision of how the song should look, especially the first incarnation of Alice onscreen, they had to take a more hands-on approach.

What resulted was a charming "D.I.Y." video tour de force of the song. The clip is simple but super-smart in style and deliciously high in concept, and the imaginative animation moves perfectly timed to "Alice In Wonderland's" funky and elastic beat. When Randell and Schippers began laying it out, they hadn't anticipated the amount of work that would be involved in ultimately making over 450 individual Photoshop drawings to bring it visually to life, but once they started, they couldn't stop. "We could see the story unfolding in our head," says Denny, "and we found a form in which we could do it ourselves. While we certainly didn't consider ourselves seasoned computer artists, we nevertheless felt we could create something compelling to get our video out there."

With their marathon effort, Alice In Wonderland - The Video, now bearing fruit on YouTube, Yahoo! Music Videos and Clear Channel's Online Music & Radio Video Vault, Denny Randell and Biddy Schippers are looking to the future with various projects. Currently, they're focusing on the all-new Denny Randell live show, also featuring Randell & Schippers, with plans to premiere it in the late spring of this year. The show will feature a performance of "Alice In Wonderland" -- its stage debut -- and other R&S favorites.

It will also spotlight many classic songs Randell has composed over the years including "Native New Yorker,""A Lover's Concerto,""Can't Get Enough Of You Baby" and the Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons hits "Workin' My Way Back To You,""Opus 17" and "Let's Hang On (To What We've Got)." The last three mentioned are also featured in the Tony-winning Broadway musical Jersey Boys: The Story Of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons and on the original cast recording, which was a GRAMMY-winner for Best Musical Show Album. The touring company of Jersey Boys is set to open in Los Angeles on May 25 at the Ahmanson Theatre.

The Los Angeles-based duo are also developing and writing their own original Broadway musical, and composing material for future Randell & Schippers recordings. Meanwhile, experience life with Alice -- and Randell and Schippers -- by entering the world of Alice In Wonderland - The Video.
