AlterPoint Expands Channel Program With Data Access/DataPatch

Data Access/DataPatch Brings Network Change and Configuration Management (NCCM) to Broadband/Telecommunications Customers

AlterPoint(TM), Inc., a leading provider of enterprise network change and configuration management (NCCM) solutions, today announced that Data Access/DataPatch, a systems integrator specializing in data communications and data center requirements, has joined the AlterPoint Authorized Reseller Program. As part of the agreement, Data Access/DataPatch will offer automated change and configuration management, security management, and disaster recovery capabilities through DeviceAuthority Suite to improve overall network performance and availability. Open Access, a regional network access carrier, is a Data Access/DataPatch customer who has integrated DeviceAuthority Suite for change management and disaster recovery support.

Partnered with a major regional fiber optic carrier, Open Access provides users, tenants and service providers in the entire NYC metro region with 'first mile' fiber optic network telecommunications services using the Ethernet cable as its core technology. Integrated into Open Access' IT infrastructure via the Data Access/DataPatch NOC, DeviceAuthority Suite enables simplified management of configuration changes across multi-vendor devices through automated change implementation capabilities and real-time change identification. In addition, Data Access/DataPatch is able to perform device backups, and implement one-click recovery to restore good configurations. With the 'diff view' capability, Data Access/DataPatch can compare configurations side-by-side to identify the detail (who, what, when) around device change, and proactively remediate problems before they occur.
