KickApps Appoints Key Product Development Executives to Its Well-Respected Management Team

KickApps Corporation today announced the appointment of Mike Sommers as Senior Vice President of Product Management in the company's NYC office and Cameron Shaw as Vice President of Product Management who will work for the company primarily on the west coast.

Mike Sommers has over 12 years experience building Internet products. Most recently he was VP of Product Development for AOL Search. Prior to that role Sommers was responsible for developing AOL's first multimedia search products, including AOL Video Search, Podcast Search and Audio Search. In 7 years at AOL, Sommers also managed a variety of products including the AOL Toolbar, AOL Deskbar, AOL Desktop Search, You've Got Pictures, AOL Alerts & Reminders, AOL Greetings and Digital City.

Cameron Shaw joins KickApps with a decade of knowledge in online entertainment and small business products. He was the product lead for AOL's first music subscription service and laid the ground work for that company's digital transaction platform. Shaw also led integration of the Apple iTunes catalog across the AOL network. Most recently, he led the release of the UnCut Video user-generated video site. Shaw's other major product accomplishments include the launch of Netscape Small Business portal.
