DUBLIN, Ohio, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Today ShareThis, formerly known as Share2Me, launched a major digital media marketing campaign in conjunction with the company name change. ShareThis is collaborating with abbegirl, director of one of the top 25 most subscribed channels of all time on YouTube, to promote ShareThis through HowYouShare.com. The site features videos on sharing and self-expression, starring and created by abbegirl. It also includes favorite videos and images submitted by users for others to share. Everything on the site can be shared with one click using ShareThis.

"Sharing is hard, but everyone just lives with it even though it could be so much easier and faster," said Mike Blackwell, CEO of ShareThis. "Our research showed that sharing was increasingly important to everyone, and to the 15-24 year old demographic in particular, but they had to log in to multiple sites and visit each friend's profile to share something cool."

In one simple click, ShareThis lets you share the digital content you love - anything from YouTube videos and pictures, to Web sites and text -- to your friends wherever they are online, from AIM to MySpace. You can even post content to your own MySpace profile or Facebook at the same time using ShareThis.

"More and more, what you share represents who you are, and ShareThis is designed to help easily express the things you are passionate about," said Mike Blackwell, CEO of ShareThis. "We knew immediately that abbegirl was the perfect face for our brand. She is tremendously popular on MySpace and YouTube, and her dedication to sharing her sense of humor through video was the perfect metaphor for what ShareThis is all about-sharing anything, to anyone, anywhere."

"The people at ShareThis saw my YouTube videos and contacted me about collaborating on some new ones," said abbegirl. "They wanted me to have fun making them and just be me. Plus, I love the idea of being able to share videos with friends so easily."
