ADTRAN Flagship Product to Revamp Independent Telco

ADTRAN, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADTN), a leading supplier of next-generation network solutions, today announced that it has signed a letter of agreement to change the Otelco -- Mid-Missouri Division's network to full Ethernet through the ADTRAN Total Access 5000. This will provide the Mid-Missouri Division with enhanced services and enable it to launch new services like IPTV and Voice over IP (VoIP) and leverage legacy services across an all IP/Ethernet core.

The ADTRAN Total Access 5000 is a carrier class multi-service access and aggregation platform that bridges the gap between existing and next-generation networks. It supports both legacy and emerging service interfaces over copper and fiber, easily scaling to support bandwidth intensive applications. The Total Access 5000 provides a clear migration path for traditional services like voice, but is also designed to enable new service deployments such as Fiber to the Node (FTTN), Fiber to the Premises (FTTP), and Ethernet over Copper (EoCu).
