3Com Increases Service Coverage for Enterprise Customers and Channel Partners Worldwide
3Com Corporation (Nasdaq: COMS) today announced that it is extending its enterprise-class service capabilities through a strategic alliance with Siemens Business Services. The agreement leverages Siemens' global support capabilities to increase the breadth and depth of 3Com(R) services to enterprise customers. This new relationship is part of 3Com's overall strategy to develop a focused arrangement of critical and collaborative relationships that augment 3Com's enterprise solutions portfolio.
3Com customers and channel partners will gain higher levels of service on a global scale due to the significant increase in people, processes, and technology created by this relationship. 3Com will combine its current core competencies in supporting IP telephony, security and data networking with over 34,000 of Siemens' support professionals located in more than 44 countries. The initial agreement focuses on integrating customer interaction, field services, and logistic areas, followed by plans to expand the relationship into other areas that help customers assimilate new technologies and maximize their business potential.
