SingTel and Virtela Communications to Expand Mutual IP Network Services Portfolio

SINGAPORE, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) has signed an agreement with Virtela Communications Inc., a global network solutions company, to provide seamless IP network services. This will improve enterprise network reach for customers of both companies.
Through its innovative network infrastructure that leverages thousands of points of presence (PoPs) worldwide, Virtela delivers its award-winning suite of wide-area network (WAN) services to more than 190 countries. SingTel will tap on this unprecedented reach to expand worldwide coverage for its IP Network services. This is a business Internet access service catering to organisations with offices in different countries that require Internet connectivity and support through a single Service Provider.
With Virtela, SingTel customers can enjoy a single point of contact and integrated bill for services worldwide, backed by leading performance guarantees and 24x7 multilingual Network Operations Centre support.
Under this arrangement, SingTel will offer its suite of ConnectPlus international data services which Virtela can leverage to provide extended coverage for its customers. SingTel ConnectPlus international data services cover major business cities in the Asia Pacific and beyond, and offer extended coverage through the global and domestic data services of SingTel's partners.
