Valero Energy Corporation Partners With Transaction Network Services

Transaction Network Services, Inc. (NYSE:TNS), a leading provider of business-critical network and data communications services for transaction-oriented applications, has been selected by Valero Energy Corporation (NYSE: VLO) to provide broadband-based Internet Protocol (IP) networks and transaction solutions for its wholesale branded Valero locations.
The FusionPoint services from TNS enable Valero to set a technology standard to ensure store applications flow through one broadband pipe, simplifying connectivity and delivering significant savings in time and maintenance costs. Valero Energy Corporation, a leading marketer of refined products such as gasoline and diesel fuels, will market and contract directly with its wholesale distributor network. TNS will provide the back-end data connectivity to the stores meeting their specific requirements. These may include any combination of POS terminals, ATMs, automated tank gauging, check cashing, VoIP, DVR data and additional data communication needs.
