Air Midwest Expands Midwest Airlines Codeshare in Kansas City to Six Additional Cities!

PHOENIX, April 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Air Midwest, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mesa Air Group today announced that it is expanding its codeshare agreement with Midwest Airlines to an additional six cities. The flights operate as US Airways Express under a separate codeshare relationship with US Airways. This expanded codeshare will allow for Midwest Airlines customers to connect onto US Airways Express flights in Kansas City to Columbia/Jefferson City, Joplin, and Kirksville, Missouri and Grand Island, McCook, and Omaha, Nebraska.

Under the codeshare, Midwest Airlines provides service in Kansas City on its national route network. Passengers are able to book their entire itinerary on a single ticket, with both Midwest Airlines and US Airways Express segments carrying the Midwest Airlines "YX" designator, while earning Midwest Miles frequent flyer mileage credit.
Beginning with flights on May 6, US Airways Express passengers in these six cities will be able to connect in Kansas City to Midwest Airlines' nationwide network of 17 nonstop destinations. The original codeshare relationship between Air Midwest and Midwest Airlines began in 2001 and already allows for connecting service in Kansas City from other US Air Express destinations including Little Rock, Arkansas and Dodge City, Garden City, Great Bend, Hays, Manhattan and Salina, Kansas.

Travelers purchasing a ticket within three days of their intended travel date should contact a travel agent for assistance.
Mesa currently operates 200 aircraft with over 1,300 daily system departures to 173 cities, 43 states, Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas. Mesa operates as Delta Connection, US Airways Express and United Express under contractual agreement with Delta Air Lines, US Airways and United Airlines, respectively, and independently as Mesa Airlines and go!. In June 2006 Mesa launched inter-island Hawaiian service as go! This new operation links Honolulu to the neighbor island airports of Hilo, Kahului, Kona, and Lihue.
