HandHeld Entertainment Hires Charles Hoefer As V.P. Of Advertising Sales

HandHeld Entertainment™ (NASDAQ:ZVUE), a global digital entertainment company, today announced that it has named Charles W. Hoefer as its vice president of advertising sales.

In his new role, Hoefer will direct all advertising sales initiatives for HandHeld Entertainment, including driving the company's online advertising and promotional programs in the United States, Europe and throughout the world for its seven Web properties.

Hoefer brings to HandHeld Entertainment more than 19 years in advertising sales and operational management experience in both traditional and new media companies. His applied experience in electronic publishing, community and social media Web sites is ideally suited for the company's global business and ad revenue objectives.

Most recently Hoefer served in such positions as

vice president of sales at vSocial;

senior vice president of advertising sales for Emazing.com, a Sony Music business unit; and

vice president of sales at TalkCity in 1999.

He has also built four national sales teams from the ground up and has generated more than $30 million in combined advertising sales revenue during the past 12 years in online media businesses.

Additionally, Hoefer has served as a management team consultant for several new media start ups and brings to HandHeld a foundation of established training and success from his early career at IBM, Ogilvy & Mather advertising, and Ziff-Davis Publishing.
