Lucid8's GOexchange Supports Microsoft Exchange Server 2007

Posted on: Monday, 30 April 2007, 09:00 CDT

Lucid8 LLC, the company that optimizes space, reliability, efficiency, and recoverability for Microsoft® Exchange Server databases, today announced that its GOexchange®, an automated maintenance tool for Microsoft Exchange Servers, is now compatible with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. The new compatibility offers users of GOexchange a smooth transition in the upgrade to Exchange 2007.

"Any time users have to upgrade to a new service pack or major version of a product, unwanted and unneeded stress can occur," said Troy Werelius, CEO of Lucid8. "By making GOexchange compatible with the new Exchange 2007, we are putting our customer's needs on the front burner by ensuring that all of their data will be updated and properly maintained within the new system easily and flawlessly."

Lucid8's GOexchange improves Exchange server performance and protects it from disaster by removing hidden errors and inconsistencies and reindexing the databases, while reducing the size of data stores by 30-55% or up to 90% or more when used in conjunction with an archiving solution. With the Exchange 2007-compatible version of GOexchange, users will be able to ensure that all information is updated and retained in an efficient and timely manner.

"Exchange's database, like any database, loses integrity over time. Archiving products promise great savings in database size and faster backups, but fail to mention that the databases do not shrink themselves," stated Lee Benjamin, Analyst for Ferris Research. "ESEUTIL and ISINTEG are powerful utilities that really need to be understood before running; failure to do so can damage the files. While many customers never use these until a disaster strikes, others swear by proactively running these advanced maintenance tools. At Microsoft's recent TechEd 2006 conference, it was acknowledged that the updated 64bit database would still need to have maintenance run upon the information stores. Lucid8's GOexchange product has the extensive knowledge of what can be fixed, how to do it safely, and make the process schedulable as it requires downtime. That is a huge benefit to keeping mission critical Exchange in top operating form."

"Lucid8 is committed to our customers and want to ensure that their systems are healthy and at their strongest performance," stated Troy Werelius, CEO of Lucid8. "Our team works around the clock to make sure that all of our products are delivering next-generation automated disaster prevention, optimization, continuous protection, e-discovery and recovery solutions for Microsoft Exchange."

The newest, Microsoft Exchange 2007-compatible GOexchange Version 3.5 is available now, at prices starting at $995 for 25 mailboxes. Upgrades are available at no charge to current GOexchange customers with valid support and maintenance agreements.

Lucid8, LLC provides automated disaster prevention, optimization, protection and recovery software for Microsoft Exchange Server customers worldwide, ranging from small and medium businesses to Fortune 100 companies. For details on product offerings, visit www.lucid8.com or call 425.451.2595.
