Centeris Signs On As Sponsor of TechX World Conference
Centeris Corporation, a pioneer in developing software for easy management of Linux® servers in a Microsoft® Windows® network, today announced that it will sponsor TechX World Conference, which is making three stops during the month of May in New York, Washington D.C. and San Francisco. The all day events are designed to provide IT professionals that work in organizations using Windows, Linux and/or UNIX with information and solutions they can use to enhance their mixed networks. In addition to the sponsorship, Centeris Chief Executive Officer, Barry Crist, is scheduled to participate in a moderated panel discussion during the conference’s keynote session.
“Last year’s TechX provided a great opportunity for us to hear exactly what companies’ needs and challenges are around interoperability, and Windows and Linux identity management,” said Crist. “The heart of this conference is on how to make cross-platform environments work for every organization, and our Likewise Identity product is certainly an important part of the solution. We appreciate the chance to be associated with TechX and look forward to working with IT professionals to make managing a mixed network less complex.”
TechX is broken out into three tracks, with three presentations in each session. The tracks include systems management, director services and security integration, and virtualization. The content is focused on providing attendees with training and information about IT issues they face each day combined with the added complexity of mixed environments. Centeris will be demonstrating Likewise Identity 3.0, a cross–platform identity management solution that provides seamless integration of Linux and UNIX users and systems with Microsoft Active Directory.
“TechX is a great event that brings together deep subject matter experts and industry leaders to discuss the ‘real world’ challenges and opportunities inherent in making diverse systems truly interoperable,” said Erick Watson, lead product manager at Microsoft. “This is very hard work that is of the utmost importance for Microsoft’s customers and the broader IT community. Microsoft has enjoyed working closely with Centeris to improve the interoperability of Windows with various flavors of Linux and other UNIX-based systems. This event will serve as a great forum to help demonstrate value that Centeris brings to our mutual customers.”
