Shopzilla (www.shopzilla.com), the leading comparison shopping site on the web, today announced the launch of its Publisher Program (http://publisher.shopzilla.com), a syndicated online advertising product for web content publishers and affiliate sites seeking to integrate shopping content into their sites.
Through a simple user interface, Shopzilla's Publisher Program enables website publishers and affiliate sites to generate revenue by integrating contextually relevant links and banners to Shopzilla's catalog of 30+ million products and special offers from more than 92,000 retailers. Shopzilla's Publisher Program is available to all content publishers, who can easily monetize their content by delivering high-quality leads to Shopzilla's merchant partners.
Unique to Shopzilla, the program provides a wide range of self-service advertising options - from text links and display ads to search boxes. The tools allow publishers to fully customize the ad content ensuring optimal relevancy with the publisher's editorial content. Publishers will simultaneously complement and monetize their content.
"Our program is free to publishers and gives them complete control over the monetization links they integrate onto their site," said David Weinrot, Shopzilla's Vice President of Content Marketing and Operations. "The program marries the monetization of pay-per-click syndicated advertising programs such as AdSense with the product breadth of Amazon's Associates Program. By linking the publisher's 'what-to-buy' expertise with Shopzilla's 'where-to-buy' expertise, we can benefit consumers, content providers and retailers alike. Everyone wins."
With the proliferation of specialty deal sites, shopping bloggers and product review sites, to name a few, Shopzilla's Publisher Program will harness the Web's informed shopping network to drive more qualified consumer leads to its merchant partners.
