Plus, it’ll bring in lots of bail money

Courtney Love, widow of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, plans to sell most of his belongings.

“I’m going to have a Christie’s auction,” she tells AOL music Web site Spinner.com. Her house “is like a mausoleum.”

Love, 42, and Cobain wed in 1992 and had a daughter, Frances Bean, that year. Cobain committed suicide in 1994.

“My daughter doesn’t need to inherit a giant … bag full of flannel … shirts. A sweater, a guitar and the lyrics to ‘(Smells Like) Teen Spirit’ – that’s what my daughter gets. And the rest of it we’ll just … sell.”

No date has been set for the auction, AOL publicist Kurt Patat told The Associated Press on Monday.

Love, whose upcoming album is titled, “Nobody’s Daughter,” says friends support the idea.

“Everyone’s been positive and behind me on it. We’ll make a lot of money and give a bunch of it to charity.”

She’ll have a chance to move on from Cobain, too.

“I still wear his pajamas to bed. How am I ever going to go form another relationship in my lifetime wearing Kurt’s pajamas?”

“Burn After Reading” reunites them with George Clooney, who starred in “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” It’s a dark comedy about a CIA man who loses the disc of a book he’s writing. Trouble is, the manuscript is filled with information vital to national security. Shooting begins this summer.

– From wire reports

Pamela Anderson will replace Carmen Electra as special guest star in magician Hans Klok’s new show, “The Beauty of Magic,” at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Electra said at a press conference last week she would be with the show for three months. Publicists hailed it as her Vegas stage debut and promised “sultry surprises.”

She pulled out because of a scheduling conflict.

“My kids are going to love this,” Anderson said after popping out of an apparently empty box at the crowded Extra lounge at the former Aladdin casino-hotel. “This is my dream of being a Vegas showgirl come true.”

The grand opening of the show is June 2. Garry Trudeau is on vacation. Enjoy “Doonesbury” classics this week.
