Fluid Media Networks and DiskFaktory Launch Multiple Format Access(TM) Music Delivery Format
LOS ANGELES, May 1 /PRNewswire/ — Fluid Media Networks, producers of American Idol Underground (http://www.idolunderground.com/), has partnered with the leading music reproduction services provider DiskFaktory (http://www.diskfaktory.com/) to create the “(MFA) Multiple Format Access, your music, your way(TM),” distribution format, which allows consumers who purchase a MFA CD to also receive digital (MP3, ringtone, video, etc.) access to the music — all for one flat price.
Consumers that purchase the digital album will receive codes to get ringtones, as well as receive the physical CD via mail; if they go to a retail outlet like, Best Buy or Wal-Mart and purchase the album in CD format, the packaging will include a code, which allows them to go online and obtain the digital assets.
“The MFA distribution method dispels the notion that consumers should be restricted as to how they enjoy music they have already paid for,” said Justin Beckett, CEO and founder of Fluid Media Networks. “If you add up the costs of buying the CD ($14.00), MP3s ($10.00), ringtones ($2.99 each) and the music video ($12.99), the consumer is spending at least $40 to own the same music.
