HowStuffWorks.Com Wins Education and Copy/Writing Categories for the 11th Annual Webby Awards

ATLANTA, May 2 /PRNewswire/ — The Webby Awards, the leading international honor for the Web, today awarded HowStuffWorks.com with two Webby Awards for 2007. In addition to winning for Best Education Web Site and Best Copy/Writing, HowStuffWorks.com was also honored with the People’s Voice Awards in the same categories.

HowStuffWorks.com is best known for its unique style of breaking down thousands of topics into easy-to-understand language for people of all ages, using comprehensive articles, animated graphics and informative videos. Although the site has earned several People’s Voice awards during its nine-year history, this year marks the first time HowStuffWorks.com has earned the coveted awards given by the official judging panel.

Hailed as the “Oscars of the Internet” by the New York Times, The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including Web sites, Interactive Advertising, Online Film & Video and Mobile Web sites. The awards are judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, a global organization that includes Harvey Weinstein, Arianna Huffington, Matt Groening, Jamie Oliver, Internet inventor Vinton Cerf and RealNetworks CEO Rob Glaser.
