Church to Host Choir Festival
BRAINTREE – First Congregational Church of Braintree will host Choir Festival 2007 Sunday at 3 p.m.
The festival, which is being held as part of the church’s 300th anniversary celebration, includes choirs and musicians from more than a dozen area churches.
The program will open with an organ recital by Dr. Paul Kaatrud, music director at First Congregational, the church’s White Chapel Bell Choir and a French horn quartet.
The Festival Choir, led by Jeff Hobart, music director of First Congregational Church of Randolph, will feature secular and sacred music by Randall Thompson, Ralph Vaughn Williams, and George Frederick Handel. There will be a reception following the concert.
