Warner Bros Television Group and Digital Music Group have both entered into channel programming deals for Joost, the internet TV service recently launched by the creators of Skype and Kazaa.

The deal with Warner Bros will bring program offerings such as WBTV: Sci-Fi Fix and WBTV: Before They Were Mega Stars, to Joost on an exclusive basis. This marks the first time that Warner Bros will launch its branded programming services online.

Both Warner Bros channels will launch on Joost during May. WBTV: Sci-Fi Fix will feature popular shows such as “Babylon 5,”"Invasion,” and “My Favorite Martian.” The WBTV: Before They Were Mega Stars channel will include shows from the past that feature some of today’s biggest stars of the big screen.

The Digital Music Group (DMGI) deal, meanwhile, will significantly boost Joost’s offerings as DMGI currently controls the digital distribution rights to more than 4,000 hours of video content.
