SAT Corporation Delivers MonicsNET Carrier Monitoring System to Advantech Satellite Networks, Inc., For Saudi Aramco Satellite Communications Network

Posted on: Wednesday, 9 May 2007, 09:00 CDT

SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SAT Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Integral Systems, Inc. , today announced that it has delivered its MonicsNET(R) Satellite Carrier Monitoring system to Advantech Satellite Networks, Inc., for use in the Saudi Aramco Satellite Communications Network. MonicsNET is a full-featured monitoring system that automatically monitors Saudi Aramco's carriers using SAT's DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology. The entire network can be monitored in a fraction of the time of a classic spectrum analyzer, rapidly verifying link quality of service and automatically checking for unauthorized transponder capacity users.

In addition, MonicsNET's unique algorithms automatically detect, characterize, and display interfering signals, even if they are completely buried under the primary carrier. The system is equipped with SAT's unique Transponder Compression Detection capability, allowing Aramco to accurately determine the safe transponder operating point, thus safely delivering the maximum power and bandwidth available in single- or multi-carrier mode operations.

"We are pleased that Advantech Satellite Networks selected SAT for this critical project," said Bob Potter, President and CEO at SAT. "The combination of our proven features and industry-leading technology will serve Saudi Aramco very well, and we look forward to a long-term relationship with both companies."

SAT has provided similar systems to customers worldwide, including SES Americom, New Skies Satellites, Shin Satellite Public Company, Ltd., Loral Skynet, Hispasat, SATMEX, Hellasat, and J-SAT.
