INTEL Malaysia recently held an event at Carcosa Seri Negara in Kuala Lumpur to hand out Centrino Duo processor technology-based notebooks to the first five users in Malaysia.

The five users are notable names on the Malaysian scene. They are Yasmin Ahmad, film producer and director and executive creative director of Leo- Burnett; Audi Mok, music producer and songwriter; Datuk Francis Sew, businessman and founder of local fine watch retailer Swiss Union; Soo Kui Jien, TV personality and owner of Talent Factory; and Ivy Josiah, executive director of Women’s Aid Organisation.

Also present at the event were Intel Malaysia’s country sales manager, marketing Debjani Ghosh and Intel Asia-Pacific’s director, brand and promotion, marketing group Gary Willihnganz.

Over 230 Centrino Duo and Centrino Pro-based designs from PC manufacturers, resellers and integrators around the world are expected to take advantage of the new features provided by the processor. Notebooks will come in a plethora of shapes and sizes, with designs ranging from fully loaded, 17-inch wide-screen models ideal for entertainment to tiny, energy-saving notebook PCs that weigh less than three pounds.
