AdSpace Networks Introduces Integrated Stand-Alone Digital Display

AdSpace Networks, Inc., the leading provider of digital media networks for advertising and promotion in public spaces, today announced the release of its new integrated stand-alone digital display, the CoolSign Integrated Display (ID). The product integrates a high definition, 42", 50" or 60" plasma display with computer components, a cooling system, a customizable encasing and the CoolSign Software Suite, making it the first all-in-one digital display solution in the marketplace.
Historically, digital signage providers have had to source individual components and piece them together, prior to installation, driving up the costs and complexity of the entire system, and leading to potential integration, service and installation problems. For over six years, AdSpace has been a leader in providing enterprise class, networked software and services and has deployed thousands of large-scale digital signage solutions. As a leader in the industry, AdSpace realized the need to offer a complete turnkey solution that lowers the total cost of ownership and accelerates time to implement by providing a pre-integrated offering that is plug-and-play.
"From our experience working with leading retailers, malls and theaters, we saw both a need and an opportunity to bring a fully integrated digital display product to the market," said Robert Cell, Chief Executive Officer of AdSpace Networks. "By marrying our software with state of the art, components and a ruggetized encasing, AdSpace has provided a 'one-box' answer to our client's needs, reducing cost and complexity, easing implementation and use, and increasing reliability due to components like the built in cooling system."
Working with IBM Global Services (NYSE:IBM), AdSpace has rolled out over one hundred-fifty of the new displays, to the CoolSign Advertising Network, in over twenty-three malls across the country. AdSpace is working with IBM on various customer rollouts of its solution to leverage their global reach and deep experience in field installations and post implementation support. The signs have been proven to be both successful in meeting the marketing needs of customers, as well as being rugged enough to standup to heavy mall traffic.
"The new Integrated Display from AdSpace, coupled with IBM's global expertise in implementation and support, is a winning combination for customers," said Dick Anderson, general manager, IBM Global Digital Media Industry. "Cool Sign technology and its new Integrated Display, along with IBM, is helping make the process of going from concept to production much smoother and installation much faster."
The CoolSign ID is an industrial grade device that has an innovative, eye-catching design. AdSpace worked with the leading product design firm, Pentagram, to develop it. The new product is driven by CoolSign's proprietary software, and delivers full-motion high definition resolution digital content playback. It comes ready to connect over standard Ethernet or an 802.11b wireless network to a CoolSign powered Digital Media Network, providing full remote management and monitoring of all its functions. The solution comes in both free standing and wall hanging units, and in both portrait and landscape modes.
"Our new Integrated Display is the first truly integrated, industrially-designed digital sign for advertising and merchandising in public spaces," added Mr. Cell "Early reviews of the product by our partners and prospects indicate that it resonates with their needs."
