Kuehne + Nagel Expands in Japan

Global logistics operator Kuehne + Nagel has opened a new office in Yokohama, Japan, extending its network across the country to nine locations in five cities.

K+N said the new office offers customers comprehensive seafreight import and export services, including in-house customs clearance.

With this recent addition to its network, K+N claims to be the only foreign logistics provider to have in-house customs clearance capabilities in Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Kobe and Nagoya (air only).

“The new seafreight office is a further step in our strategy to continually enhance the attractiveness and reach of our offering across Japan. Thanks to our customs clearance licenses in some of the country’s key cities, we are very flexible and can offer companies a one-stop service in pretty much all of the major centers of trade and commerce in Japan,” said John Levin, president of K+N.
