Arnot Ogden Medical Center Selects INX to Provide Wireless Network Solution

Posted on: Tuesday, 15 May 2007, 09:00 CDT

INX Inc., (NASDAQ:INXI) announced today that it has a won a contract to deploy a wireless network solution for Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, New York.

As part of its mission to provide a more "patient-centric" healthcare system, Arnot Ogden Medical Center wanted to improve bedside collection of, and access to, patient medical information as well as allow patients to connect to the world outside of the facility. Arnot selected INX to design and implement a mobility solution in the form of a robust wireless infrastructure that will enable near ubiquitous access to voice and data communications inside their facilities. Deployment of the solution began at the end of April and includes Cisco 4400 series controllers, Cisco 1242 LWAPP access points, a Cisco Wireless Control System, Cisco Catalyst 3560G series PoE access switches, Cisco MARS and Cisco Communications Manager enabled 7921G wireless IP handsets.

Gregg Martin, Chief Information Officer for Arnot Ogden stated, "We believe that creating a "patient centric" environment is critical in providing high quality care. Whether it's allowing care givers access to patient information from the point of care at the bedside, collecting information from medical devices, or enabling patients to communicate with friends and family members via wireless internet, this solution will help us meet these objectives by providing more mobility. Our decision to engage INX in implementing a wireless communications infrastructure will position us to continually leverage this technology to better care for our patients."

Mark Wilhelm, Vice President of Sales for INX commented, "We are especially pleased to have this opportunity to deliver a Business Ready Network solution for New York based Arnot Ogden as this opportunity was engineered and will be delivered by our North East sales and delivery team, representing traction in this fairly recent expansion territory for INX."

The project was valued at approximately $200,000 in product and services revenue for INX.
