Zoran Powers Siemens' New Gigaset Family of Terrestrial Set-Top Boxes With Twin-Tuner Digital Video Recording

Zoran Corporation (NASDAQ: ZRAN) announced that its SupraTV(R) processor powers new families of Siemens free-to-air terrestrial set-top boxes products supporting integrated twin-tuner Digital Video Recording of two simultaneous programs.
Zoran's integrated software delivers a rich graphical user interface, over-air-download support, and makes it easy for consumers to save high quality recordings of favorite programs to an integrated hard drive. Zoran-based products also support fast forward, rewind, skip ahead, skip back, pause, and other recording features.

Zoran's SupraTV(R) processors integrate a MIPS32 CPU, programmable multi-stream transport demultiplexer with conditional access, flexible audio DSP supporting MPEG and WMA audio standards, MPEG video decoder, with a 2D graphics engine and digital video encoder. With a wide array of system interfaces, the SupraTV(R) processors fully support single and twin-tuner digital video recording, and decoded legacy analog signals in a digital television environment, while a programmable guest bus enables glueless connections to storage media or peripheral devices including Common Interface.
The SupraTV(R) processor product line with supporting reference designs, integrated development environments, and proven silicon software libraries are available for qualified Zoran customers.
