NaviSite Offers New Managed Services to Businesses Using Amazon Web Services

AWS provides a large community of developers, start-ups, and Fortune 1000 companies with direct access to Amazon’s robust technology platform and the ability to both develop and deploy applications in a utility computing environment. NaviSite’s new Monitoring and Alerting service, designed specifically for Amazon EC2 clients, will help businesses optimize their use of Amazon Web Services. As developers are preparing to move their applications from a development environment through testing to production, NaviSite’s service provides web developers with key insights into the performance and availability of their applications that use Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3. Web developers receive alerts when their applications are degraded or unavailable and have access to NaviSite’s IT Management Portal to view near real-time statistics on system performance. NaviSite’s Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3 Monitoring and Alerting service is agentless, so there is negligible impact on server performance. NaviSite’s offerings include the monitoring and alerting of network availability and operating system performance, including CPU, disk, and memory.
