Slide, Inc., the leading online personal media network, today introduced music for its Slide Shows. Users can now enhance their shows by adding songs from some of the world's hottest bands and emerging artists. Slide partnered with leading web music distributors, including SNOCAP, Bebo Bands, Nettwerk, PumpAudio and Bradstreet Entertainment, to provide users with a broad selection of music to match any mood or occasion.
"Music has always been a fundamental form of self expression, so it's only natural that people would want to personalize their stories with music that perfectly captures the moment," said Max Levchin, founder and CEO of Slide. "We're excited to work with these forward-thinking music providers that have chosen songs especially for Slide."
The Slide network reaches tens of millions of people every day, more than the top 5 U.S. radio markets combined. The network offers artists a direct connection to both current and potential fans all over the world. Slide's music catalog includes songs from popular bands like Sherwood and Barenaked Ladies, as well as emerging artists like James Carrington, Jenny Owen Youngs, The Orange Lights and Eric James & The New Century.
"We're excited for the new music section on Slide, and honored to be a part of it!" said Dan Koch, lead guitarist of Sherwood.
Slide's music selection is available immediately on www.Slide.com. Users who create new shows or edit existing shows can choose from hundreds of options with just a click of a mouse. They can then take their creation anywhere, including communities like MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, Hi5, Tagged and Blogger. In addition, users can purchase music they like directly from the artist via the artists' SNOCAP's MyStore.
