J.D. Power Ranks AT&T Highest in Customer Satisfaction for Small Business Local Telephone Service

SAN ANTONIO, May 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AT&T Inc. today announced that AT&T voice services rank highest in customer satisfaction for local telephone service among small and midsize business customers, according to J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Major Provider Business Telecommunications Voice Services Study(SM).
AT&T led the small and midsize business customer segment, receiving highest ratings for customer service, offerings and promotions, cost of service, sales representatives/account executives and image.
"Businesses have a choice when it comes to telecommunications service, and this recognition speaks directly to the choice they're making," said John Regan, vice president of AT&T Business Marketing. "We will continue to work with our small and midsize business customers to give them the voice, broadband internet, unified messaging and wireless services that they need in order to grow and be successful."
AT&T continues to deliver the highest possible customer care for small and medium-size businesses, such as with its recent announcement of a single consolidated bill for the AT&T Complete Office Solution(SM), which includes unlimited local and nationwide calling, broadband Internet, AT&T Unified Messaging(SM), wireless service and an AT&T Real Yellow Pages listing. The company also provides service-level agreements for business voice and data services, including its AT&T Yahoo!(R) High Speed Internet Business Edition Service.
According to J.D. Power and Associates, the study also showed that the number of problems and questions reported by small and midsize business customers in the past 12 months had decreased by nearly 20 percent from 2006 to 2007. Fewer questions about billing questions and fewer calls about poor or bad reception were significant contributors to the overall decline.
