By Kyodo News International, Tokyo
May 25–TOKYO — All Nippon Airways Co. said Friday it will raise fuel surcharges by between 300 yen to 1,000 yen per one-way flight on its international services starting July 10, in a move that follows a similar decision by rival Japan Airlines Corp.
ANA will raise the surcharges by 300 yen to 1,700 yen for flights linking Japan and South Korea, by 1,000 yen to 8,700 yen for flights connecting Japan with Thailand and Hawaii, and by 1,000 yen to 12,000 yen for those connecting Japan with North America and Europe.
Fuel surcharges reflect fuel costs and are levied separately from regular flight fares.
