Intoto to Demonstrate Advanced Enterprise-Class Voice Over IP Solution at VON Fall 2004

Platform based on Intoto iGateway EX SecureICP and Intel(R) Network Processors Demonstrates AT&T CallVantage Service

Intoto, a leading provider of integrated security, voice and wireless software platforms to networking equipment manufacturers, today announced that it will demonstrate its advanced secure wireless Voice over IP (VoIP) router solution optimized for the small-to-medium enterprise (SME) market at the VON Fall 2004 Conference and Expo. The complete VoIP platform features Intoto's iGateway EX SecureICP software running on a VoIP gateway reference platform based on the Intel(R) IXP425 network processor. Demonstrations will showcase the AT&T CallVantage(SM) Service, and will be held in Intoto's booth #928, Intel's booth #1004, and AT&T's booth #404.

The VoIP gateway reference platform is a complete turnkey solution that accelerates OEMs' time-to-market, while reducing product development costs and schedules. It allows equipment manufacturers to build highly secure, reliable and feature-rich Integrated Communication Platforms (ICPs). It is a fully integrated high-performance solution for convergence products ranging from Integrated Access Devices (IADs), Embedded Routers with VoIP and security, IP PBXs, and voice and media gateways.

About iGateway SecureICP

The iGateway SecureICP software platform provides a fully interoperable SIP-based VoIP Gateway, ICSA and VPNC certified Firewall, VPNC certified VPN, Wireless LAN and Secure AP and LAN/WAN access functionality. The VoIP Gateway includes extensive services delivered via Intoto's patent-pending call processor. The SIP gateway acts as proxy and registrar, supporting access to VoIP services for soft clients connected locally on the LAN as well as remote clients connected to the Internet. The solution provides several standards-based Quality of Service (QoS) and prioritization mechanisms as well as a variety of traffic shaping methods.

Intoto's iGateway software platforms have been optimized for the Intel IXP425 network processor. The Intel IXP425 network processor is supported by a powerful DSP software library that runs on the high speed Intel XScale(R) core for processing algorithms such as G.711, G.726, G.729, G.722 and G.723.1 with very low power consumption. In addition, built-in network processing engines (NPEs) support the Intel XScale core with data processing to assure optimal voice quality. The IPsec VPN leverages the hardware crypto accelerator to provide performance for voice traffic through VPN.
