Fujitsu to Demonstrate New Coral PA Graphics Display Controller

DETROIT, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA), the industry leader in graphics display controller ICs for vehicle systems, will introduce its newest 32-bit Coral PA controller at Convergence 2004 in Detroit, October 18-20.
The company will also announce the addition of two low-power, single-chip 32-bit microcontrollers to its growing FR60Lite family, adding inverter-control capabilities to offer a flexible level of control for motor- control applications. Additionally, Fujitsu will announce its FlexRay(TM) product plan at its news conference, October 18 at 11 a.m.
New 32-Bit FR60Lite Series Microcontrollers
The new MB91F267 and MB91266 incorporate multifunction timers for inverter control of motors in advanced air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, vacuum cleaners and other appliances. The inverter-control capabilities offer a flexible level of control for motor-control applications, typically for industrial and home appliances.
FlexRay(TM) Product Plan Announcement
With Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe, FMA is announcing its FlexRay(TM) support product plan. Dr. Gerhard Roos, director of Automotive Applications group at Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe, will unveil the plan in a presentation entitled "FlexRay - A Key Element in Fujitsu's Automotive Strategy," on October 18, 11 a.m.
FlexRay is one of most versatile technologies available to support the expanding requirements of automotive multiplex bus systems, such as higher data rates, deterministic behavior, and the support of fault tolerance.
In booth 1007, Fujitsu also will feature the industry-leading MBF200 single touch and MBF310 Sweep Sensors(TM); a full line of 8-, 16- and 32-bit MCUs; and partners' software tools, including MATLAB.
