CNT's Network Management Service Optimizes Embarcadero Systems' Networks

To ensure their systems would always be up and running, a critical component of their overall commitment to customers, ESC implemented a business continuity solution that included several of CNT's UltraNet Storage Director-eXtended (USD-X) platforms to connect storage networks in Alameda, CA and San Pedro, CA. When telecom circuit failures between the two data centers put their business at risk, ESC found a solution in CNT's remote network monitoring service, NMS.
NMS provides real-time monitoring and proactive problem resolution for their mission critical CNT networks, helping customers reduce the cost of managing their network, lowering the risk of network outages, and allowing customers to focus on their core business. Upon implementing NMS at Embarcadero Systems, CNT's team of experts discovered poor traffic flow and utilization in the T3 network. NMS monitored the problematic T3s and produced a report that included a detailed error history along with an expert analysis of storage network quality and availability. Using this information, ESC's IT managers were able to address the problem with their telecommunications provider, while ensuring their service level agreement (SLA).
