Toshiba America Information Systems Inc. Telecommunication Systems Division (TAIS TSD) today announced a new cost-effective Strata® Media Application Server platform for small- to medium-sized enterprises. Toshiba's MicroMAS is a new desktop-size platform that brings a multiple-application solution to smaller enterprises. Although compatible with all Strata CIX™ systems, the MicroMAS is designed to complement Toshiba's Strata CIX100 and CIX40 VoIP systems. The diverse applications compatible with Strata MicroMAS include: Auto Attendant, Voice Mail, Automated Speech Recognition, Fax, Text to Speech, Unified Messaging, Interactive Voice Response, Automatic Call Distribution and Reporting, Web-based Personal and System Administration, Web-based Telephone Applications, FeatureFlex™ customization tools, and other third-party applications.
"With Toshiba's Strata MicroMAS, smaller enterprises can have the same multiple-application single server solution as their medium- to large-sized counterparts, which use Toshiba's Strata MAS 2U rackmount platform," said Ron Hunsaker, senior product manager at Toshiba's Telecommunication Systems Division. "Sized and priced just right for smaller enterprises, Strata MicroMAS consolidates communications applications onto a single server, helping SMB enterprises save money, space, and time managing their telephony resources."
Strata MicroMAS is ideal for use with Toshiba's Strata CIX100 and CIX40 VoIP systems, which support up to 72 and 24 users, respectively. Connected to the Strata CIX system via IP, it integrates all applications on a single platform.
