CRANFORD, N.J., May 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Knowledge Networks/SRI has appointed Jane Dennison-Bauer -- a respected manager and expert YP marketer -- to lead its Directory Research Practice, including the Yellow Pages Market Reporter(SM) syndicated service. Dennison-Bauer will join Knowledge Networks on July 2nd as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Yellow Pages business unit.
Now in its third year, YPMR is the definitive measurement of consumer usage of specific Yellow Pages directories nationwide, covering nearly 200 Directory Distribution Areas (DDAs). So far, the service has delivered 262 reports in 2007, providing unprecedented accuracy in the planning of YP ad campaigns at the directory level. Subscribers include directory publishers and the larger agencies (CMRs) selling Yellow Pages advertising.
"Jane brings a superb knowledge of the directory industry and its needs to KN/SRI and YPMR," said Simon Kooyman, CEO of Knowledge Networks. "The respect and relationships she has built among the YP constituencies will help us deliver new and better services to clients. Jane's knowledge and leadership skills -- paired with Burt Michaels' invaluable experience and insight into the directory marketplace -- will be a major impetus for the continued growth of the KN/SRI Yellow Pages business."
"The opportunity to continue shaping and expanding the YPMR service and KN/SRI's other directory research fits perfectly with my experience and passion for the industry," said Dennison-Bauer. "I am excited by the prospect of working with the KN/SRI Directory team, which has built such a solid reputation for quality and industry engagement. We will be taking the YPMR service in a variety of new directions to meet client needs, while maintaining its essential role as a trusted industry research partner."
Dennison-Bauer has held senior level positions in marketing, business development, and marketing research in the Yellow Pages industry; just prior to joining KN/SRI, she was an Analyst with The Kelsey Group. She has also served as Senior Marketing Director at R.H. Donnelley; Partner at CRM Associates; Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at the Yellow Pages Publishers Association; and Director of Market Research at Qwest.
Dennison-Bauer has also played several high-visibility roles serving the Yellow Pages industry generally; she was a key member of the industry Marketing and Research committees and worked as a developer of the syndicated usage program. Her education includes a B.S. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from the University of Denver.
Knowledge Networks/SRI has been a long-time measurement provider to the media industry -- including Yellow Pages buyers and sellers -- and won an industywide RFP (request for proposal) in order to provide the YPMR service. The final service parameters were designed in conjunction with a broad representation of Yellow Pages stakeholders, who organized to steward the launch of this service.
