Ericsson Appointed Supplier of Vodafone WCDMA/HSPA Radio Network in Spain

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has been selected by Vodafone Spain to modernize and expand its existing WCDMA/HSPA radio access network throughout Spain. This is the first time Ericsson will deliver WCDMA/HSPA radio network equipment to Vodafone Spain.

Under the three-year agreement Ericsson will deliver WCDMA radio base stations to enhance Vodafone Spain's network coverage and add the latest Ericsson HSPA functionality. Ericsson will also upgrade existing Vodafone Spain base station sites with Ericsson nodes to boost the capacity and functionality of the current WCDMA/HSPA network.
