Onity Announces New Customer-Driven Electronic Locking System for Education Market
Posted on: Friday, 1 June 2007, 15:00 CDT
ATLANTA, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Onity, a leading global provider of electronic facility control solutions, announces today Integra 5, a new electronic locking system for colleges and universities. Features of Integra 5, such as client-server architecture, high-speed execution and overall security have the education market anticipating its release. And no wonder, because more than 50 Onity customers played a critical role in shaping the product.
"The Integra 5 started as a concept in-house," says Paul Love, commercial market product manager for Onity. "Our customers wanted a new electronic locking system with a client-server based architecture, secure network transmissions, fault-tolerant network operations and an updated graphical user interface - and that's exactly what we've given them with the Integra 5. This system is really more an accomplishment made possible by our customers."
The Integra 5's central architecture allows the system administrator to easily apply upgrades and perform system maintenance. Users never actually perform operations, but instead pass requests to the server which in turn performs the requested operation - reducing the risk of data corruption from disconnects. The Integra 5 also works with a variety of database structures, such as Firebird, Microsoft(R) SQL.
For security, network traffic is encrypted using SSL 128-bit strength for all data traffic between clients and server.
"By listening to what our customers have to say, we ensure that we continue to provide real solutions that best meet their every day needs," says Love. "We want our existing and potential customers to know we offer reliable support, where the customer-vendor relationship doesn't end after the sale. Our customers are our backbone, and our best sources for growth."
The Integra 5 is Windows(R) 2000, XP and 2003 supported. For more information about the Integra 5, call 1-800-424-1433.
